Connor the Cloud: A Consideration of Data Discourse in Children’s Books

The zine Connor the Cloud: A Consideration of Data Discourse in Children’s Books aims to provoke innovative ways to question and deconstruct complex, illusive dominant imaginaries of data. Recognizing and questioning how language alters the understanding of data-driven technologies can offer new possibilities for learning. This zine is meant to prompt a reflection of a generation aging with evolving technology and probe potential ideas to foster a future of curiosity and learning. Conor the Cloud is mainly targeted at parents of children in grades 1-6 to develop educational tools and curriculum considerations throughout early childhood education.
